How to use Iron Cleaner

This post is not “How to clean an iron” because there are many ways to do it. How I chose to clean my iron uses a specific product, and I want to show you how to use this method!

This is a “smart” iron (It lays down this way on purpose and knows when you pick it up)

This technique works on any kind.

Before picture. This just happens over time. It’s been about a year since I’ve cleaned it.

All you need is a rag towel , and some iron cleaner. I haven’t tested any other brands.

The directions say to first squeeze about two inches on the towel. (Not very pretty stuff, huh?)

The directions then say to iron the goop in a circular motion with your iron on its hottest setting.

I stayed on one side of the towel so I could do it a second time.

Ta da! I forgot the picture where I turned the towel over, and sprayed it with water to clean off any chemical residue.

I’ll let you know if I test out any other methods! I’m sure there is a way with baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice lol

(That combination cleans ANYTHING)
